When utilizing direct contact condensers,the process fluid comes into direct contact with the cooling water. Direct  contact condensers are insensitive tofouling and are, therefore, reliable in operation. It should be noted, however, that direct contact condensers cannot be recommended if ammonia is present in the process stream. The contact with the cooling water leads to the formation of non-dissolvable carbonates and fouling.

Hello, I will try to start posting some information about other types of vacuum pumps than steam jet ejector and liquid ring vacuum pumps. I cannot remember where I found this paper, but you will find some useful information about rotary piston, dry screw and rotary vane vacuum pumps. The only reference I have is that it was extracted from the Chemical Industry Digest – 2007.

If you have some interesting article about vacuum pumps or vacuum aplications and want to share with your peers, please send me an e-mail and I will be glad to post it here, but note that it must be a technical article and not a sales paper.

Não me lembro onde eu encontrei este artigo, mas você vai encontrar algumas informações úteis sobre bomba de vácuo de pistão rotativo, de parafuso e  de palhetas rotativas . A única referência que tenho é que ele foi extraído da Chemical Industry Digest – 2007.
